Bermuda |
Bermuda, is a beautiful British overseas territory located in the north Atlantic Ocean, about 900 miles directly east of Charleston, South Carolina.
The island has an affluent economy, with finance our largest sector, followed by tourism. In 2005, Bermuda had the world’s highest GDP per capita. Bermuda has it all, beautiful beaches, lovely hotels, fine shops and great restaurants and well as many tourist areas.
Famed for Bermuda shorts, natural beauty, and of course the Bermuda Triangle, the island’s tourism continues to attract thousands of visitors each year.
Bermuda’s beaches are world-renowned for their pristine, coral-tinged beauty, and there are many of them around the island. You are never far away from the shoreline (Bermuda is less than a couple of miles wide at its widest point). Although some are officially private, there are plenty of public, easily accessible beaches, bays, and coves.
Bermuda’s pink sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, offshore reefs, 400 year old St. Georges Town, Crystal Caves, and the Royal Naval Dockyard are some of our major attractions.
Pristine coral reefs for snorkeling and amazing golf courses are also in abundance on the island. Visitors cannot rent a car on the island, so in addition to walking our pleasant and safe streets…many travelers choose to rent a scooter or use our buses, ferries, and taxis. |
